Couple of Gene’s accomplishments are the Navy Expeditionary, Navy Achievement Medal and Silver Stars for Sea Service deployment for the Iran Hostage affair that occurred in 1980. Most recently Gene’s coaching and leadership ability helped both his local Little League and Junior High Football teams to undefeated championship seasons.
